The loss of a major green space in Montreal?
West end community paper highlights concerns that the plan to put the 20 alongside the Falaise will kill any chance of turning this beautiful strip of wilderness into a linear park. People in NDG have been dreaming of it for more than 30 years!
To understand just how huge this green space is, just have a look at it using Google Earth. Compare it to other green spaces in Montreal you know. Then have a look at this blog, with pictures from the Falaise.
Clearly in need of a clean up, though.

More on the Turcot interchange
"L'échangeur Turcot sera démoli puis reconstruit. Quelques voix témoignent de la sculpture urbaine qu'évoque l'immense spaghetti routier suspendu entre ciel et terre." Urban planner Decarie warns us not to build a bunch of homes on the falaise, By so doing, we ruin a great opportunity to do something with this massive green space.
